Procurement Coordinator

Forward Interiors is a full-service design studio that specializes in high-end residential projects throughout North America. We are looking to expand our team and hire a Procurement Coordinator who is organized, detail oriented, and excited by the opportunity to work with our team. This role requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of post graduate experience. We are a tight knit team and look forward to finding a candidate that fits seamlessly into our team. 

 

Job Details:

  • Tuesday – Friday, 9-5.

  • In person/in office (Toronto, ON)

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required.

  •  Minimum 1-2 years work experience (post-graduate).

  • Detail oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

  •  Able to work within a team setting but also autonomously. Seeking someone who takes initiative and ownership in their roles and responsibilities.  

  •  Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn tailored procurement software platforms. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Can conduct themselves in a kind and professional manner. 

  • Interested in the field of interior design and enjoys being surrounded by creative and positive team energy 

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Responsible for sending out retail and custom pieces for pricing to support furniture and construction presentations.

  • Responsible for creating and generating all price lists associated with each project.

  • Client facing for all tasks related to pricing, ordering, status updates, additional billing etc. 

  • Coordinating with supplier representatives.

  • Sample ordering to support design presentations.

  • Generate and process detailed purchase orders for retail and custom pieces.

  • Create, update, and organize all procurement related tasks for each project within a Design Management Program. Responsible for tracking orders, delays, shipping, duties, and additional costs related to each project.

  • Manage pricing and procurement inboxes. 

  • Generate weekly reports for order tracking and client billing expenses.

  • Coordinate and manage all shipments and deliveries and aid in the reveal process. 

  • Coordinate with third party storage company. 

  • Coordinate with design team, bookkeeper, representatives, customs brokers, and shipping/logistics providers to ensure proper execution of projects from start to finish.

AutoCAD Technician

We are looking to expand our team and hire an AutoCAD Technician who is proficient, detail-oriented, and excited by the opportunity to work with our team. This role requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of post graduate experience. We are a tight knit studio and look forward to finding a candidate that fits seamlessly into our team. 

 

Job Details:

  • Monday – Thursday, 9-5.

  • In person/in office (Toronto, ON)

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required.

  • Speed, accuracy and confidence using AutoCAD are critical to this role.

  •  Minimum 5 years work experience in a design or architecture related role with first-hand knowledge of the industry and an understanding of how details provided in drawing sets translate to real life.

  • Understanding of the construction process.

  • Detail oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

  •  Able to work within a team setting but also autonomously. Seeking someone who takes initiative and ownership in their roles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Efficiently and effectively draft detailed and precise construction drawing sets for large-scale residential projects (floorplans, lighting plans, elevation drawings, section details, tile layouts etc.) using AutoCAD.

  • Reformatting any AutoCAD files provided by third parties (ie: architects, measuring team) to adhere to company standards.

  • Assembling construction specification documents (schedules, spec sheet packages etc.) for each project.

  • Producing elevation shells for use by Principals in the design process.

  • Producing detailed custom furniture drawing packages using AutoCAD based on design direction provided by Principals.

  • Coordinating with clients and trade partners as required.
